Graphics - 4While the graphics look crystal clear on the beautiful PSP screen, the details are not as impressive as I had hoped, especially when compared to some of the other PSP launch titles. The greens look like plain astroturf most of the time, and it is hard to distinguish any differences between the fairways and the rough other than their color.
Sound - 4
Again, I am comparing this game to other PSP launch titles like Ridge Racer. The music is inferior, but does not play such a large role in the game. The sound effects, on the other hand, are pretty good.
Gameplay - 3
Very, very long load times.Much longer than you are accustomed to on the consoles or for other PSP games. While the game is relatively fun while you are actually playing, you will spend way too much time waiting for each hole to load. This is unacceptable for a portable system, where the point of the game is to prevent boredom, rather than produce it.
Content - 5
The career mode (tour) is a lot of fun.You open courses, competitors, equipment, etc. as you progress. It definitely helps the replayability. The WiFi capabilities, however, are what make this worth buying.
Total - 4
This is a very good portable version of the console golf games. My main concern about this game is that you can't even think about turning it on if you have less than 30 min to burn. With all the loading involved, nine holes will take at least that long to play.Although the game is fun, if you plan to use your PSP to fill short periods of time (while commuting, etc.), then a different game would suit your needs better.
